About Us
We are a Southampton-based consortium dedicated to the advancement of project management through the highest standards of research, learning, consultancy, training (e.g., PRINCE2 and AgileFrame) and delivery. Our members include academics and practitioners from a number of industries from the UK and internationally. They all have a passion for delivering excellence in project management and have considerable experience of working within businesses both locally, nationally and internationally.
The consortium works and collaborates globally with those in education and multiple industries to exchange knowledge, ensuring experience is current and that the latest methods, practices, techniques and tools are being successfully transferred from research into the businesses environment and in doing so, deliver excellence.
VISION
The International Project Management Consortium’s vision is to become a world leading body to enhance and improve the number of successful project outcomes on a global scale by enabling academics and practitioners to disseminate best practice within project management using research, consultancy, teaching and learning.
MISSION
The International Project Management Consortium will achieve this vision by devoting itself to the following core activities:
- Develop and maintain close relationships with the professional bodies and continually identify and address research gaps and business challenges with our members
- Co-operate with the business environment and related organisations to enhance knowledge and understanding of project management and provide professional and academic qualifications for them
- Engage in project management related research, drawing on the field of business, management, strategy, innovation and knowledge
- Disseminate the knowledge generated by the consortium via publications, conferences, seminars, short courses and networking events
